Sarah Brandt-Erichsen

Hello! I’m Sarah, the oldest of the Humblebee sisters.

I grew up in Ketchikan, an extremely rainy little island in southeast Alaska where creativity was woven into everyday life. Between wet winters, a strong local arts scene, and a family that was always making something, I quickly fell in love with collecting inspiration from the world around me.

One of the places that shaped me the most creatively was the Soho Coho art gallery. I spent nearly a decade working there during summer and holiday breaks throughout high school and college. It truly helped grow my love for art, creativity and self expression being surrounded by local artists and handmade work.

These days, I bring that same love into Humblebee Studios through thrifted treasures, vintage finds, upcycled artwork, and collected pieces that feel nostalgic, cozy, and one of a kind. I love giving old things new life and finding beauty in the imperfect and unexpected. They’ve all taught me to appreciate the magic in objects that tell a story and make a home feel personal.

I’m also an avid plant lover, and some of my favorite things to share are the plant babies I’ve grown and propagated along the way. Whether it’s a vintage frame, a rescued piece of art, or a new clipping for your windowsill, I believe every home should feel layered, lived-in, and uniquely yours.
